As a freelancer, my work in book publishing includes editorial development, writing and editing promotional copy, and managing cover design and production.
Much of my career in publishing has been spent in acquiring and developing how-to, technical, and reference books—hiring authors and working with them to create the best possible products for our markets. Below is a small sample of representative projects. As an editor, I have been involved in the creation and publication of hundreds of books.
I have edited and published many books about the technology used in the creation, production, and performance of music.
I have edited and published books on a variety of subjects related to technology and media creation.
I have collaborated on special projects, such as this one-shot issue co-published with Electronic Musician magazine.
I was the editor of Writer's Market for three editions and the supervising editor for three more. I managed the creation of the first electronic version of Writer's Market, the 1997 edition.
Though most of my career has been spent in technology and reference publishing, I have acquired and edited books in many subject areas.
